Peter:
[0:00] Well, hello and welcome back. I am so excited to do this episode and it's taken a while for us to get here, but we're here. And of course, I'm joined by an absolutely sparkle of a soul. Jane, welcome to the podcast.
Jane:
[0:21] Hello, thank you for having me.
Peter:
[0:23] Pleasure to be here. great to have you here. Honestly, your energy is just so infectious and it's just like every time I see you, I'm like, I just want to hug you. It's like, give me some of that energy. Give me some of that energy.
Jane:
[0:35] Yeah.
Peter:
[0:36] It's just so bubbly and it's infectious. It's awesome. And it's just interesting. So, I was giving that a little bit of an intro there before coming in to this episode for our listeners. But Jane has been wonderful. She's just recently gone through and completed my Inner Power Accelerator and Achievers program. And it's been amazing to see just the growth, the witching on and you just owning and stepping into this vision.
Peter:
[1:07] It's just been amazing to see this growth for you. And it's just inspiring. And that's why I can't wait to delve into this. But of course, let's just start at the beginning, always a good place to start. But when you saw this, because obviously, you know, I reach out in socials and I do it by email and I was just kind of seeing where people are at. What was it about this? Where were you at? What were your thoughts? What were your thinking? And how did you, in starting this journey with me, come about? Yeah.
Jane:
[1:38] Okay, I was lost, totally lost at a point in my life where I, you know, I go to work, earn money, come home, eat, sleep. And I just thought, honestly, what am I doing here? Why am I here? And it was getting really, you know, depressing. It's like, that's a pretty dark place to go. It's like, you know, why am I here? And then I thought, well, I've got to find out. So 12 months ago exactly actually this week i i left brisbane and drove down to melbourne got on spirit of tasmania and now live in tasmania sold everything gave everything away and just started fresh because i was in such a rut so you know arrive here start work all that and then i'm like Like, well, what am I doing here? It's beautiful. So I thought, how am I going to find out what I want to do? And, of course, I'll follow you on social media. And the advertisement came out for the Accelerators Achievers course. And, you know, you're asking, what are you doing here? What's your purpose? And I'm like, exactly. That's what I want to do.
Peter:
[2:49] I ask the deep questions, don't I? I go straight for the jugular.
Jane:
[2:53] Yes. So I thought, okay, I'm jumping on board this. No idea what to expect. And, yeah, it was, yeah, so I signed up. Yep, I'm doing this 12-week course. And, yeah, so we will get into it. But I'm an absolutely totally different person now.
Jane:
[3:12] So, yeah, being the best thing.
Peter:
[3:14] And it's just interesting. Like, I just want to jump into where you are with that journey there because it's really interesting. So you were in Brisbane. them. You sold up everything, literally became almost the gypsy light going, cool, I need a change. You've created that change for yourself by literally going down to the most southern point of the country. You went overseas literally to Tassie and you're there. But would you say that rut almost followed you or did it, where being in Tasmania and seeing the beautiful place that you're in, did it highlight that rut even more for you? Which one do you think it was?
Jane:
[3:54] I totally lifted it. It was, I got here and I'm just driving around and, you know, I snuff a depression, I'm medicated for it, but always had this fog. And it was like it lifted just being here in Tasmania. And, you know, I said that to a few people and they said, oh, it's a very healing place. So I thought, oh, well, that's interesting. And yeah, it just, the depression has lifted. And that's just being in Tasmania.
Peter:
[4:23] Okay, watch out, Tasmania. I'm going to hit the Tasmanian government up. I'm going to get an affiliate for them and the spirit of Tasmania, the amount of people after this episode. I'm flocking over. There's going to be an influx of people. I'm just going to make sure I get my little cut from the government after this wonderful Tasmanian promo. I love that.
Jane:
[4:45] Oh, I know. I should be on TV.
Peter:
[4:47] You never know. It might happen. The way that you're manifesting and magnetizing things in your life right now, that's a real possibility. You know that.
Jane:
[4:56] I know. It's insane.
Peter:
[4:59] It's absolutely insane. Now,
Peter:
[5:01] it's really interesting, too, because this is such a big pivotal part. And I think, you know, even for myself, when listening to your journey and your story within the group, and I know the other members, people that were, you know, going through that with us, there's power in sharing. Our story and I believe there's absolute power and there's a beauty in being vulnerable enough to share our stories and that is something that you really did in that group and it just really resonated with people and it was just it was so so powerful to see and it was interesting like you talked about their depression but you definitely this is what's something I want to get into because not only like you're saying you're in Brisbane you're going to work you're earning money, but like life's a bit of a rut. But you've already been in some very, very dark spaces. And like you say, you've been in the depressing and stuff like that. And it's interesting like, you know, going through that and still being in a rut, you know, that must have been harder again going, you've already done so much work to lift yourself and still it wasn't enough. Can you walk us through that in your words, in your mind?
Jane:
[6:16] Yeah, well, like it's probably the last 10 years have been challenging. You know, I've had quite a few personal issues, you know, marriage breakup, lost a husband. And I must say when I did leave Brisbane, I left my son, my daughter-in-law and my grandchildren behind.
Peter:
[6:36] Not easy. Wow, yeah.
Jane:
[6:38] Yeah, it was hard, but I knew I had to go. Because I was no good to them. And honestly, I felt like I wasn't adding value to anyone's life. That's how dark it got. And I thought, I've got to fix myself. And, you know, my friends will say, they'll say, I'm the strongest person they know. And I go, no, I'm not. And they say, but you are. You look good. You picked yourself up so many times. And you get it in your head where you want to give up. And I thought, no, no, I can't. I can't. And then so I look. I researched and obviously I found you and led me on this journey.
Peter:
[7:21] And that's me, like, to give that up. But I love that because the one big thing, and I want to make this really clear because if anybody's listening going, oh, wow, like, I kind of like, I want what Jane's having. She's like, yes, sorry, people. She's drunk the Kool-Aid. She's now over to the dark side. But it's like you know just giving full disclosure here when i do this program this is not for everyone because it's like i always need to make sure that people are really ready to commit, to to this journey and by you talking about these particular things and i remember your application saying no i'm ready for this because i'm tired of this this is not working i know something's missing. I'm ready. And you were really, I could tell in your mind, in your heart, in your soul, your energy was like, I know there's something. You were like, on the cusp. It's like, where is this? And it was so beautiful to see. And then obviously, jumping on the program, you kind of went through it. Now, when you were doing this and going through the program, there's a fair bit to it. What would you say for you was that breakthrough, that moment where you've just gone, boom, the pennies dropped.
Jane:
[8:37] Oh, well, there was two. It was like, I remember you said to me, or you said to all of us, you know, because we've all got our baggage. And you said, if you went to the airport and you had to pay for your excess baggage, and I immediately went millions of dollars. That's how much my excess baggage has got to cost. And you laugh like that too. And I said, millions of dollars.
Peter:
[9:00] I still remember because I know the feeling, like, especially if you're flying Jetstar, that's the low cost carrier people, in case you're listening overseas. Disease and it costs you a fortune. They will slug you.
Jane:
[9:12] Yes, definitely. And I thought, oh, my God, that's tragic. And then, you know, we came to the part where we had to, you know, I had a goal. I had set a goal last year that, you know, it was coming to me slowly and I was keep thinking, how am I going to make it happen? How do I make it happen? And I had this goal in mind and one of your questions was, what's holding you back?
Peter:
[9:36] And.
Jane:
[9:36] My immediate was fear of rejection and failure and then you came into why and yeah people out there he.
Peter:
[9:45] Gets you.
Jane:
[9:46] Why why it's like an.
Peter:
[9:48] Annoying child why i do warn people of that i just sorry i just have to laugh because i do warn people i want anybody who as soon as we start this program i'm like you're gonna hate me by the end of this and you i'm gonna be your voice is is going to be forever stuck in your head. And I can see you replaying my voice right there as you're saying that.
Jane:
[10:14] It's true, but oh, my God, it's the best thing ever. And then, you know, it came to there was this one thing someone had said to me and, oh, gosh, it put me down, you know, really, really belittled me. And so we worked through that. Yep. And with your method of doing it and slowing down and breathing and, you know, we did it with the other group members as well. And, gosh, once I got it out, it was like, Everything lifted off my shoulder. That million dollars of baggage went down to like my seven kilo carry-on. It was gone. I love that. It was amazing, yeah.
Peter:
[10:51] But you know what's so amazing is that seven kilos. The way you're living your life right now, that's exact. You're just carrying seven kilos, baby. You're like, you're gone. You're like, I'm walking on and off that aircraft. I don't have to worry. I'm not even checking anything. I don't have to wait for my bag at the other end. I'm just, you're in flow.
Jane:
[11:11] Absolutely absolutely that was that was number one and then the second one was you know we had to discover our treasures yes and you know we're we're all pretty baffled come you know trying to think about treasures and you're like you're like don't overthink it all of this it'll come and you know i was i was reading off script and everything and i remember saying to you do you know what and i just went blah blah blah blah this is my goal this is what i want to do bam bam bam bam, bam, bam, then it came out. What I want to do, my vision, I'm going to save lives. And it was like.
Peter:
[11:45] I get goosebumps every time you say that. It never gets old.
Jane:
[11:50] I know. It doesn't. And it was like, oh, my God. The last 10 years has been leading up to this. So, you know, it hasn't happened in a hurry. But that mic drop moment of there it is. And now, oh, my God, since that moment, the things that have happened in my life is just unbelievable. Yeah.
Peter:
[12:13] But I love that there's two things in there that I love the most. Post number one is like you know you're all suffered everybody who when i hit them with the question they get right into their head and that's not the place we want to work but that's where we go first you did the same like you said you came to the exercise and you're reading off the script and i loved it you literally didn't go bugger this you you did kind of throw it off to the side and you just let it flow out of you. And when you found that, and I loved it because just so our listeners can understand, like you kind of just went into this and you just allowed all of this, all of these feelings, all of these thoughts, all of these visions start to just kind of flow. Like you said, this is where I want, this is the goal I had. Like, you hadn't necessarily joined the dots, but it wasn't about joining the dots. It was about letting these dots flow. And that's when they did. It came out and I loved it because I remember your face. It was just like, I'm going to save lives.
Peter:
[13:24] And your face was just like, that's it? And I know it and there's no changing it. I can't go back. Now that I've seen this and felt this, I can't unsee it. I can't unfeel it and I think that from that moment you've just gone it was like so I've never forgotten it and I think I also know the other group members were just like we're all like cheering you on going mic drop.
Jane:
[13:49] And everybody's like, can we have her vision?
Peter:
[13:51] Can we have her treasure?
Jane:
[13:57] Oh, no. It was an insane moment. It was gold. I'll never forget it, never.
Peter:
[14:02] So, let's lean into this because, and this is not, you know, and I love that you've acknowledged that, you know, it has been a journey. You've done 10 years leading up to this, like you said, and you were getting close. You're getting close. You're getting close. And then all of a sudden, boom, here it is. And I always say when I'm working with people, like there's three types of people. There's either people who are really close and it's just underneath their nose and it's just a little bit of a helping hand to help them see it. The second type of people there are, it's like they know something's missing and they're like, I need a change. I just, I don't know where to start. Here we go. Then there's the third lot of people, and they're the people who are just completely lost and disenchanted with life in general. But the same token, they're at a point in their life when they're that lost, they're not really looking. They're in that moment of self-discovery and rediscovery. And that's why when I do this application process, I have to look at where they are because I can only work with the two people, you know, those first two types of people because you have to, I can't do this for you, you know what I mean? Like, all of this was you, Jane. Like, I just facilitated. It was all there for you. And now having a look at it, when you saw that and when that came out of you, I'm here to save lives.
Peter:
[15:22] How did you feel and what's happened since then? Walk us through it.
Jane:
[15:27] Okay, so it felt like, yes, there's my purpose in life. That's why I'm here. That was my question. Why am I here? So through my journey, you know, I've hit rock bottom twice, you know. I've lost everything and I've got it back, you know, and there's a lot of, well, alcohol involved, put it that way. So it's a substance issue that's ruled and been hanging over my life, which I've now got under control in such a good way that I want to help other people do it. And, you know, when I started your course and even, you know, because journal everything, I've been journaling, oh, my gosh, I've got books and books and books. But I was even journaling when I started the course, I still didn't know why I was here and it's just I don't want to be here. And then it's like, oh, you know, don't give up, Jane, don't give up. And then now that I've got this far and I want to save lives because you don't have to feel like that.
Peter:
[16:32] Yeah.
Jane:
[16:32] Yeah, there is, you know, there's help out there. And like you said, it's 95% in you already. You've just got to head it out.
Peter:
[16:41] Yeah.
Jane:
[16:42] Yeah.
Peter:
[16:44] And so do you believe like now once you kind of recognise that, How did that kind of affect your, because you mentioned there before, there was like fear of rejection and like fear of failure. Once you really honed in and you locked in that purpose, what would you say happened to those fears for you?
Jane:
[17:09] Oh, totally gone. Like, I am so confident that I'm going to be a success, that I have, there's no worries at anything.
Jane:
[17:20] That vision I had, you know, what are we now? May. So it's only six months ago. Wow. Six months ago, I had this vision of what I want to be doing, and that is so clear in my mind. There's nothing that's gone away from it. And so, like, since the end of the course, I've, you know, I keep educating myself. That's what I've learned. You never stop learning. So, you know, I've enrolled in a course for a certificate. I'm changing my career. You know, I'm a supply chain professional. Not an immobile I am at the moment, but I'm changing to do what I want, and that's to help people realise that they don't have to go through the hell I went through. If I can help them, you know, wipe out eight years of that hell that I went through. Great. And, you know, it gives them a life. I know they can have my life. I live in a dream down here. And I came here with nothing. And you're walking away with so much. If anything is possible. Oh, absolutely.
Peter:
[18:20] Now, it's really interesting. I love this because what's really important, as you've mentioned a couple of times, you had the vision. Now, of course, we've got listeners that are like, okay, what's this about? So, you know, a big part of it where I take everybody through this process is you've got to understand that without a vision in your mind or without having access to a vision, you're never going to be able to live your life at a frequency or vibration to match that and therefore attract that and magnetize that into your life. That's why most people are having a sense of feeling lost or being stuck in a rut because there's no sense of a vision and they're more relying on the fear kind of like where you are at. And so, once you've got that vision, like it has like you have really taken like and you're a speed demon, literally a speed demon. This came out of the woodwork after the course. I was like, what? So, Jane's actually a racer. She literally is. She's got a race car. She races. I can't believe it. You're actually a speed demon. So, Jane's kind of like with the vision and then literally put the pedal to the metal. And so it's really interesting. But can you, you know, for wherever you want to share, what was that vision that you had for yourself?
Jane:
[19:42] Okay. The vision was like I've always been an empath, so I want to help people, always want to help people, and I always got burnt. So I was sort of, you know, trying to look after myself for a change and hence coming down here and everything to find out more about myself. But then never, ever went away. I want to help people. So, you know, I found myself rock bottom a couple of years ago. I ended up in a rehab. I've been out two years now and I saw myself. How many people would, in that environment, come to me, talk to me, and just my energy would make them feel better. It would inspire them and all of that. And then when I got out of the rehab, I went to, you know, AI meetings, NA meetings, and just the feedback I got from these people was, God, Jane, you inspire me so much and my energy. I wondered why I was so exhausted after it, but now I know.
Jane:
[20:44] I thought, oh, my God, I can bring this. I don't want to keep it to myself. So I just want to bring this energy out there and inspire people. So my vision was, okay, I started big. I'm flying the world. I'm in business class. I'm flying around the world and I'm talking at meetings, NA, AA, all of this. I'm your guest speaker and I'm telling you my journey and how I got better, how I stay sober, how happy I am just now. You know, from believing in myself. And do you know what? Loving yourself is the key. I hated myself. I hated myself. I really did. And, you know, that was only 18 months ago. So it's like, hey, hang on a minute. I am worth something. Like, you know, I am a good person. So it's got to, yeah, you've got to learn to like yourself. Then the sky's the limit once you've done that.
Peter:
[21:41] This is the hard part. But like, you know, I'm hearing you and your journey and I obviously met you kind of after a real rough patch. Most of our listeners are hearing you on this massive high and it's like it's kind of like I could imagine like it's really hard to imagine you not loving yourself because you are just like the epitome right now of life and the sky is the limit. Like, what can I do? Because it's like, what's tomorrow going to bring? Because I've got to make the most of it. Yeah, I just love it. And so business class, travelling around the world, doing the speaking thing and because as you were saying, you're a supply chain specialist and you've been doing that for, what was it, 40 years?
Jane:
[22:25] Oh, gosh, yeah, 40 years. Started, yeah, Air Force. I mean, I've done it. I've done a lot. Air Force, railway, mining companies, everything, yeah. And then here I am going to save people from, you know, a miserable life. Don't have to be miserable.
Peter:
[22:44] I love that. And it's by being out there, telling your story, helping them, and you're going to be speaking.
Jane:
[22:53] Yes.
Peter:
[22:53] Yeah.
Jane:
[22:54] Yes. People start to talk a lot, so take advantage of it.
Peter:
[22:58] Look, you're preaching to the choir on that one. I learned very early on, like, yeah, like, you know, I'm very happy and grateful that I can get paid to talk for a living. So that's a good thing. So you can do the same too. I tell you,
Peter:
[23:14] if I could do it, you can do it. And I love the fact, like, you're coming from that space of, you know, it's about learning to love ourselves. is learning to heal ourselves. And, you know, you're also coming from like, I know I've been through this pain. You're going to know what they're going through. You can look them dead in the eye and say, I know your pain. And with that, I also know for a fact when I've connected with people in their own journey, not so much in that space, but obviously people who have struggled with a spiritual sense or an energetic sense. And I can say, I know what you mean. Every time you have that ability to connect with a person and just say that to them. I, you know, did you find the same thing where they kind of just go, oh, it's like a problem just shared straight away?
Jane:
[24:03] Yeah.
Peter:
[24:04] Yeah. I love it.
Jane:
[24:05] And I do the same when someone, you know, if I am talking and they're like, yeah, yeah, yeah, and I go, you know what I'm talking about? Yes. And it's just like, oh, makes it so much easier.
Peter:
[24:16] And that's exactly right, isn't it? It just makes it easier. It doesn't feel like you need to explain yourself. It doesn't make you feel like you need to justify yourself or you need to, like, tell this whole story. And I think sometimes with people around you who don't really understand and can empathize with what you've been through, you kind of do hold back a little bit. Because you're like, well, I could tell you, but I really do believe that you're not going to get this. So it makes no sense.
Jane:
[24:47] Exactly. And it's hard to talk. It's draining to talk about it. So, you know, you talk about it and they don't get it. It's just like you just go.
Peter:
[24:57] Yeah.
Jane:
[24:59] It's devastating. It really is.
Peter:
[25:02] But it's interesting too. Like you say, even when you said that, I could feel that in you. I could see the recollection of you reflecting on those moments going, it's hard, this is heavy, this is it. But now you're looking at it going, it doesn't have to be. Like you can say, you know, your story is important, you know, it is pain, but it doesn't have to be painful, you know, anymore. Like you can shift from this.
Jane:
[25:29] Yes.
Peter:
[25:30] So and this is the i love this because like i said jane's a racer so like when she sees a goal post or a finish line she's going for it so i i've never seen anybody take so much wonderful action from their vision but in hosting it and i'm gonna put you a little bit on the spot here maybe maybe embarrass you a little bit, but didn't you make a special trip to Brisbane and kit yourself out to get ready and go, I haven't got any gigs lined up yet, but I'm getting the outfit.
Jane:
[26:06] Yeah, I did. Because, yeah, well, it was part of my vision that you took us through and we were looking at our future selves. And I saw myself all dressed up, ladylike, and like I said to you, I was a grown-up and I always had this white suit on, and I'm sitting on the edge of a table and I'm just owning it. It's like, okay, you go there, you do that and all of this. And it's like, oh. I'm either in a classroom teaching or I'm running a rehab. And, you know, there's a bloody goal. So, oh, yeah, in Tasmania, there's not a lot of shops. You know, there are, but they're small. So I came to Brisbane and went to Myers and absolutely bought that outfit that I saw in my vision. So I've got it hanging in the cupboard.
Peter:
[26:59] Love that.
Jane:
[27:00] Ready for when someone says, oh, can you come and speak? Can you do this? or I've got an interview for, you know, some amazing job that's come along my way, which, you know, I'm out there. I'm studying at the moment, so I'm just getting all the knowledge I can so I know exactly what I'm talking about because I've got the lived experience, but you need a bit of knowledge there as well. So just putting all of that in and I've got my outfit.
Peter:
[27:25] So you're absolutely ready to rock it. But see, what I admire about that is you felt the vision, not just did you see it, but you felt it and it feels good, it feels right, it aligns with you, it aligns with your, you know, your purpose,
Peter:
[27:44] it aligns with your soul and now you're like, I need that outfit. Outfit and because that's one more thing and I love that because now you're co-creating with you're in your life and co-creating with the universe going this is what I want because I know, this is it for me I know this is going to happen and I love it because you know you you got the outfit going yep I've decked myself out I'm ready for this because that way when it comes up or when the universe decides to put this on my path you can say thank you very much I'll say yes this is for me. So, I love that and owning the vision. And I love everything that you have shared. Like I said, your energy is absolutely infectious around this. But I just want to finish off because, you know, I love this, especially someone in your shoes who's really done the journey. If we've got listeners listening to this and they might be going, wow, I can relate so much to Jane and her story. What would be the one thing you would want to really tell our listeners? What's that real piece of knowledge or wisdom you would like to pass on to them?
Jane:
[28:53] To not to give up for a start and to you've, this is all fantastic, but you've got to start it. You've got to do the research, you know, like I did, make the journey, find someone to help you. You can't do it alone. So you need the help. And, you know, like I said, I journal in that, and I remember writing, I never want to feel like this ever again. It hurts so much. So I thought, well, that's it. it, I'm going to make sure that doesn't happen. So, that was at the beginning of the year. And I mean, look at me now. So, just don't ever give up and just really dig deep within yourself.
Peter:
[29:34] Yeah, you have it. You have it within you. And that's the whole point. That's why inner power, it's inside of us. But I love it. You have absolutely tapped into that. You are living it. you are creating it, you are an absolute inspiration and I cannot wait to see this unfold even further for you. I'm so freaking excited for you but again, I just want to say thank you. I'm so grateful to have you on the guest and be able to share your story and you know what, I've got this, I'm channeling this, this is coming through for me right now and I'm going, I'm going to get people going, I can relate to Jane's story? How do I get in contact with her? So, you know, because this is how it starts. I just know it. So, I'm thinking like, you know, if you do, if you're relating to Jane's story or you'd like to get in touch with her, you can reach out to us and we can kind of put you in contact and make sure it's okay. But I'm just, I'm putting that out there now because I can sense it. I can feel it. I'm just running with it. I trust it. But again, Jane, thank you you so much for sharing, you know, your time and your journey. It's an inspiration. And I know that someone listening here will get something out of this. So, thank you so much.
Jane:
[30:54] Oh, thank you for having me. It's been amazing. Thank you.
Peter:
[30:57] You're welcome.
